Payroll Analyst

- Process bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time
- Ensure proper calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions
- Maintain payroll records in compliance with company policies and regulations
- Calculate, withhold, and remit federal, state, and local payroll taxes
- Prepare and file payroll tax returns (941, 940, state withholding, unemployment, etc.)
- Reconcile payroll tax accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Manage year-end reporting, including W-2 preparation and distribution
- Stay current with changes in payroll tax laws and regulations
- Coordinate responses to tax notices and agency inquiries
- Ensure compliance with FLSA and applicable wage and hour laws
- Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll
- Prepare payroll tax reports and analytics for management
Requirements:
- End-to-end payroll processing experience (bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly)
- Strong knowledge of wage, overtime, bonus, and deduction calculations
- Payroll tax compliance expertise (federal, state, and local)
- Experience preparing and filing payroll tax returns (941, 940, state withholding, unemployment)
- Ability to reconcile payroll and payroll tax accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Year-end payroll reporting experience, including W-2 preparation and distribution
- Solid understanding of FLSA and wage & hour regulations
- Experience supporting internal and external payroll audits
- Strong attention to detail with high accuracy and timeliness
- Ability to prepare payroll reports and analytics for management
- Knowledge of payroll regulations and ability to stay current on tax law changes
- Experience responding to tax notices and government agency inquiries
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
