Overview of the Payroll Administrator Role:
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule for employees across multiple locations
- Manage payroll calculations including deductions, benefits, garnishments, and tax withholdings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll and employee records
- Prepare wage summaries detailing earnings, taxes, deductions, benefits, and retirement contributions
- Assist with payroll tax calculations, filings, reconciliations, and reporting
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies professionally and efficiently
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on payroll experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and compliance requirements
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Experience processing multi-location or multi-state payroll is a plus
