Join a well-established and close-knit site development company in Damariscotta, Maine, known for its integrity, quality workmanship, and long-standing client relationships. We’re seeking a Paving & Excavation Estimator to join a hands-on team where leadership works side-by-side with the field, and everyone contributes to getting the job done right. This is a hybrid role that combines office-based estimating with on-site involvement and includes project management responsibilities. During the winter season, the position is primarily in-office (approximately 90%), while in the summer season it shifts to a more balanced schedule (approximately 60% in-office). You’ll be involved from bid preparation through project execution on meaningful state- and federally funded paving and excavation projects, with values ranging from $50K to $5M+. Qualifications and Responsibilities – Paving & Excavation Estimator

• Must have 5–8 years of experience specifically in paving and excavation estimating
• Prepare accurate bids, budgets, and cost projections by reviewing plans, specifications, and site conditions
• Manage projects post-award, including coordination, cost tracking, and schedule support
• Ideally have experience working federally funded projects.
• Work closely with foremen and superintendents to support field execution and job planning
• Split time between the office and job sites, with increased field presence during peak construction season
• Strong understanding of site development, construction means and methods, and cost controls
• Assist with scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and change management
• Ability to operate construction equipment as needed (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass drug screening required
• Willingness to work (up to 12-hour days) during busy season / as needed.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
