Available Shifts: Day Shift-7:00a-7:00p, Night Shift-7:00p-7:00a, Rotating Day/Night

• The Patient Care Nursing Associate PCNA completes patient care activities as delegated by the RN.
• PCAs perform duties including, but not limited to, ADLs, vital signs, I and Os, 12 lead ECG, bladder scan, hygiene and venipuncture where applicable.
• Familiarity with using wheelchairs, EKG equipment, patient assistive devices, and patient care equipment specific to assigned population.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as, exhibiting strong organizational skills and work ethic, demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients and customers, basic computer data entry skills
• There are opportunities across Ahuja Medical Center including: Emergency Department, Observation Unit, Float Pool, Intensive Care Unit, Step Down Unit, Operating Room, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Medical/Surgical Nursing Units

 

 

• High School Equivalent / GED required
• BLS certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during UH Orientation.
• Experience in a large teaching hospital preferred.
• One year job stability preferred.
