The Patient Access Representative executes general clerical duties relating to the admission and discharge of hospital inpatients and outpatients. Assists Nursing Service staff with patient charting, answering telephones, and taking messages.

Responsibilities
•Greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner
•Checking patients in and out for medical appointments with the highest level of accuracy
•Answering the phone to address a variety of inquiries to provide Great Customer Service
•Accurately documenting insurance information, personal information, payment methods and other important patient information
•Accurately updating patient files and appointment information
•Works well under press during stressful patient emergency situations. Will be taking information from the Ambulance services in emergencies
•Communicating information with patients and staff in a clear and concise manner
- Managing various types of clerical duties dependably and punctually
- Have great Team Collaboration while working with a variety of other departments to maintain proper workflow
- Provide administrative support which includes clerical work, patient assistance and recordkeeping
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and follow all compliance requirements
Wage
- $20.42 - $24.29 per hour
Schedule
- 32–40 hours per pay week
- Rotating schedule across days, evenings, and weekends
- Shifts are shared evenly among team members on a weekly rotation

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Experience and knowledge in Microsoft Office, including Outlook required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using EPIC
- Courses in business and computers, completion of a Medical Secretary, Ward Clerk, or Health Unit Coordinator certification
