Our client is seeking a Part‑Time HR and Executive Administrator to support a lean, high‑trust environment where judgment, professionalism, and autonomy are essential. This role blends hands‑on HR administration with office management and executive support, offering meaningful impact across people operations, culture, and day‑to‑day office continuity.
About the Role
The Part‑Time HR and Executive Administrator will manage core HR administration, benefits maintenance, policy updates, and compliance activity while also overseeing office operations and light executive support. This individual must bring strong HR experience, the ability to “read the room,” and the confidence to make informed recommendations using internal resources and employment‑law guidance.
Key Responsibilities
HR & Benefits Administration – 70%
As the Part‑Time HR and Executive Administrator, you will:
- Manage daily and weekly HR and benefits activity, including onboarding, employee inquiries, and benefits changes.
- Partner with external HR resources to update and maintain the employee handbook, ensuring alignment with evolving legislation and best practices.
- Support quarterly and bi‑annual compliance tasks, including policy creation, documentation, and benefits audits.
- Export, manipulate, and format large datasets (e.g., 401k audits, payroll exports) using Excel (VLOOKUP's, pivot tables) to produce clear, readable reports.
- Maintain professional, tactful communication with employees, leadership, and external partners.
Office Management & Executive Support – 30%
In this capacity, the Part‑Time HR and Executive Administrator will:
- Oversee office supply ordering, kitchen stocking, and general office upkeep.
- Coordinate internal meetings, events, and occasional travel logistics.
- Provide administrative support to the CEO and senior leadership as needed.
- Ensure a welcoming, organized, and efficient office environment.
Minimum Requirements
Must‑Haves
- 3–5 years of HR administration experience with the ability to independently navigate HR issues.
- Strong working knowledge of employment‑related legislation and the ability to apply it thoughtfully.
- Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, and data manipulation for reporting.
- Professional, conscientious written and verbal communication; ability to flex communication style.
- High discretion, emotional intelligence, and confidence working with executives.
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage competing priorities in a lean environment.
Nice‑to‑Haves
- Benefits administration experience (can be learned on the job).
- Experience updating employee handbooks or implementing new policies.
- Familiarity with HRIS, Teams, and integrated office tools.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large data exports.
