Part-Time Assistant Teacher

The Longwood Medical Area Child Care Center (LMACCC) is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Part-Time Assistant Teacher to join our amazing team! In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience, support lead teachers, and help foster a positive space where children can learn and grow.

What You’ll Do:

•Gain valuable hands-on experience by assisting classroom teachers as needed

•Work a flexible, on-call and as-needed schedule (most needed hours: 7:30–10 am/8–10 AM & 2:30-6pm/3-6 PM)

•Help create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment that supports children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development

•Assist in planning and implementing engaging daily activities and curriculum

•Build positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow educators

•Participate in fun center-wide activities (like Pajama Day!) to help create a joyful, connected community
 

What You’ll Need:

•At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required)

•Experience working with children in child care, daycare, or preschool settings

•Strong teamwork skills and a flexible, positive attitude

•Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task effectively

•Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, lift at least 35 lbs, participate in physical activities, and always maintain full supervision of children
