Bookkeeper 

The Parish Bookkeeper coordinates and handles everything related to finances and personnel, as well as supporting annual parish events, including the Fish Fries, Gala, and Golf Tournament. This position reports to the Pastor. This position is an important pastoral role of true service to God, the Church, and St. Anselm Parish. This position is full time.

Essential Duties include:

•Accountable for parish financial processes, including

oPreparing weekly collections and donations for money counters and weekly deposit
oReport "online giving" totals monthly to secretary for publication in bulletin
oMaintain parishioner financial contributions and prepare annual letters
oTimely and accurate payment of all accounts payable
oReconciliation of credit card statement and receipts
oPrepare financial statements and reports with assistance from Archdiocesan Accounting Staff
oPrepare reports for and attends quarterly Finance Committee Meetings
oAssure compliance of financial systems and authorizations with Archdiocesan and Parish policies, and applicable local, State, and Federal law

•Accountable for parish human resources, including

oPreparing and processing employee payroll
oAdministering employee benefit and insurance program, including monitoring staff vacation and sick time

•Assist with all Parish Events, including but not limited to

oAnnual Gala
oGolf Tournament
oFish Fries
oDuties for these events includes, but is not limited to
      Obtaining all necessary permits and insurance certificates
      Obtaining all start-up cash
      Assisting with set-up and takedown
      Reimburse expenses and pay vendors for purchased items
      Coordinate Advertising with Parish Secretary
      Sell Raffle Tickets and other items as needed after Mass

•Other duties as assigned by the Pastor
