Paramedic Consolidated Transfer Center Specialist

Evaluates and
coordinates the flow process involved in call taking, facilitating acceptance
and triage of calls throughout the Consolidated Transfer Center. Answers
emergent and non-emergent dedicated transport telephone line and coordinates
all requests for interfacility transfers into and out of the Northwell Health System.

Essential Functions

• High
  School Diploma or equivalent, required or Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
• Current
  certification as a NYS Certified Paramedic, required.
• Current
  AHA Healthcare Provider ACLS card, required.
• CCEMTP
  or  FP-C certification, preferred. Successful completion of Avesta, Select
  Advantage 911 Dispatch and CritiCall, prior to hire, required.
•  Successful
  completion of CEMS training program within three months of hire, required.
• Successful
  completion of Consolidated Transfer Center training program within three months
  of hire, required.
• Successful
  completion of the NAEMD Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) certification within
  in three months of hire, required.
• Knowledge
  of all CEMS Policies and Procedures, Command & Control, Standard Operating
  Guidelines and System Status Management/Plans within three months of hire,
  required.
• Knowledge
  of all Consolidated Transfer Center Policies and Procedures within three months
  of hire, required.
• Demonstrates
  proficiencies in Avaya Integrated Telephone System, Computer Aided Dispatch
  System, Computer database maintenance and integrity, and mapping systems within
  three months of hire, required.
