Position Summary
The Paralegal provides administrative, organizational, and substantive legal support to the General Counsel and serves as backup support to the legal department. This role works closely with internal teams and external partners on real estate, corporate, and compliance matters in a fast-paced, in-office environment.
This position is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented professional seeking a stable, long-term role with meaningful responsibility and daily involvement in complex legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and format legal documents, including contracts, leases, correspondence, corporate organizational documents, and internal memoranda
Maintain and organize legal records, corporate documents, and contract databases
Track and manage deadlines for legal filings, compliance requirements, licenses, and contract renewals
Support due diligence for real estate acquisitions, financing, and development transactions
Conduct factual and legal research related to real estate, housing, compliance, and corporate matters
Prepare materials for meetings, closings, and legal proceedings
Coordinate internal document reviews and interdepartmental communications
Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and organize document signings
Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
- 7-10+ years of corporate professional experience, preferably in a legal, real estate, financial, or highly regulated business environment
- This is a non-entry-level position requiring a high degree of independent judgment, discretion, and professional maturity
- Demonstrated experience supporting senior leadership or executives in complex, deadline-driven environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft, review, and refine professional-level legal and business documents
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with proven success managing multiple matters simultaneously
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to anticipate needs and proactively resolve issues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted tools for document drafting, summarization, research support, or workflow optimization in a professional setting
- Discretion, professionalism, and reliability, including consistent attendance, responsiveness during business hours, and follow-through on assigned matters
- Ability to work independently in a structured, in-office environment with minimal supervision
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree
Paralegal certificate or formal paralegal training
Prior experience in legal, real estate, or financial environments
Working Conditions
