Location: Tampa, FL. A plaintiff‑side litigation firm is seeking a Paralegal to support attorneys handling mesothelioma, asbestos exposure, and related toxic tort matters. This is a full‑time, in‑office position offering competitive compensation and the opportunity to work on high‑impact plaintiff litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide paralegal support through all phases of plaintiff litigation, from intake through resolution.
- Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and other case documents.
- Organize, index, and summarize medical records, exposure histories, employment and wage records, and damages materials.
- Manage a high‑volume docket of asbestos/mesothelioma cases, maintaining accurate case files and calendaring critical dates and deadlines.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with clients, medical providers, experts, co‑counsel, and court personnel.
- Assist with preparation for depositions, hearings, and trials, including witness preparation and exhibit management.
- Coordinate with experts and vendors for records retrieval, billing, and scheduling as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience.
- Demonstrated experience in plaintiff personal injury, toxic tort, asbestos, or mesothelioma litigation preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high caseload and competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated client‑service orientation.
- Ability and willingness to work full‑time on site and collaborate closely with attorneys and staff.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Experience preparing pleadings, discovery, and trial exhibits in complex personal injury or toxic tort matters.
- Familiarity with case and document management systems, e‑filing procedures, and medical record summarization.
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment and handling confidential client information with discretion.
