A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to support complex, high‑impact real estate and affordable housing transactions in its Washington, DC office. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑driven, proactive paralegal who thrives in a fast‑paced transaction environment and wants to grow in the affordable housing and real estate finance space.
What You'll Do
- Manage checklists, timelines, and document flow for complex real estate transactions
- Coordinate HUD and regulatory submissions
- Support mixed‑finance, affordable housing, nonprofit, and LIHTC matters
- Handle due diligence: lien/judgment searches, vendor coordination, and document reviews
- Assist with entity formations and maintenance
- Prepare, proofread, organize, and manage closing documents
- Review title commitments/surveys and work with title companies through recordation
- Lead closing logistics: signature packages, execution coordination, attendance, and post‑closing binders
- Monitor deadlines and keep attorneys, clients, and deal teams informed
- Provide support and workflow direction to legal assistants
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-2+ years of paralegal experience (transactional experience preferred)
- Experience with large document submissions or complex legal processes
- Familiarity with affordable housing, real estate, or LIHTC is a plus
- Strong organizational, analytical, and proofreading skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage competing deadlines with precision

Compensation & Benefits
- $90,000-$100,000 base salary (DOE)
- Overtime paid at time‑and‑a‑half
