Job Details
We are currently seeking a Paralegal with oil & gas law experience to join our team.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience supporting attorneys with oil & gas title opinions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive paralegal support to attorneys in all aspects of oil and gas law, primarily oil & gas title opinions
- Draft, review, and revise a variety of legal documents such as contracts, leases, deeds, and agreements related to oil and gas transactions.
- Conduct thorough due diligence for oil and gas transactions, including title examinations, mineral rights, and environmental assessments.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of regulatory documents with local, state, and federal agencies.
- Manage and organize large volumes of complex documents; prepare legal files and maintain records.
- Collaborate with legal and business teams to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
- Perform legal research and analysis on various oil and gas matters; prepare reports and presentations for attorneys.
- Assist in the preparation for and attendance at trials, hearings, arbitrations, and depositions.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Paralegal in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field. Paralegal certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in drafting legal documents and conducting due diligence in oil and gas transactions.
- Knowledge of oil and gas law, industry regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
