Our client seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal to join their legal team. This role involves supporting legal processes and documentation while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Client Details

This organization is a long‑standing financial services and real estate investment firm that focuses on supporting the development of high‑quality affordable housing across the United States.

Description

  • Gather and track documents and information from a variety of sources, including electronic data rooms for due diligence review
  • Generate organizational documents and charts, escrow instruction letters, and various other transaction documents (including UCC filings) under attorney supervision
  • Initiate, track and review background and credit checks, OFAC and FINRA searches
  • Draft LLCIs and agency disclosures as needed
  • Prepare final sets of documents for execution (once approved by attorney) for distribution to relevant parties.
  • Compile documents for delivery in accordance with transaction needs. This may include pulling and posting documents to electronic platforms.
  • May be responsible for ordering UCC filings/renewals/lien searches as directed.
  • Maintain status report of open issues, deal contacts and due diligence checklists as directed by attorneys and project managers.
  • Perform physical and electronic filing, indexing and active file maintenance.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Profile

A successful Paralegal should have:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Preferred experience supporting a legal practice group or other participant in the tax credit syndication or real estate development realm
  • Written communication skills.
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience in this space.
