Our dynamic law firm is seeking an experienced Permanent Paralegal / Legal Assistant with a focus on Personal Injury in the Legal industry. Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal support to attorneys in the preparation and management of personal injury cases.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare case materials for court proceedings.
- Manage debt collection processes, ensuring adherence to legal procedures and policies.
- Handle landlord and tenant litigation, including preparation of eviction notices, lease agreements, and other related documents.
- Assist with construction litigation, including filing and managing mechanic's liens.
- Coordinate mediation sessions, liaising between parties to facilitate resolution.
- Maintain organized case files, manage deadlines, and ensure all case-related information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals, providing updates and information as required.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, preferably in the area of personal injury.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in debt collection, construction, landlord litigation, landlord tenant, landlord and tenant litigation, mechanic's liens, construction litigation, and mediation.
- Proficiency in legal research, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex legal documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal information.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A Paralegal Certificate or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong ethical standards and a high level of confidentiality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
