Connect Staffing seeks an Intellectual Property Paralegal to support attorneys in managing domestic and international trademark portfolios, assisting clients in protecting and building their brands. This role offers exposure to complex IP matters within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications, renewals, extensions, Statements of Use, and other related documents via TEAS.
Assist with TTAB matters, including oppositions, cancellations, and extensions via ESTTA.
Coordinate international trademark filings and communicate with foreign counsel.
Manage attorney docketing, deadlines, and client correspondence regarding filings, maintenance, and enforcement matters.
Conduct preliminary trademark searches using USPTO, WIPO, and industry databases.
Prepare status reports, portfolio summaries, assignments, and ownership documentation.
Maintain organized electronic records and respond to USPTO and foreign counsel correspondence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree; ABA paralegal certification or degree in Paralegal Studies preferred.
7+ years of paralegal experience, ideally in intellectual property or a document-intensive, deadline-driven practice.
Strong knowledge of trademark processes and legal principles.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and docketing systems.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and work occasional overtime to meet deadlines.
