Paralegal Job Summary

Zwelling Law, PLLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Paralegal to support our legal team. You will work closely with our attorneys from the beginning of a case through the end, including if it goes to trial. Candidates must have 3-8 years’ experience with, trial preparation, handling discovery, drafting legal documents, efiling, coordinating depositions and assisting the attorneys with case management. The candidate must be able to multi-task several assignments under tight deadlines, and be proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Odyssey e-filing, and Microsoft Outlook. Salary range is $60,000 - $75,000 commensurate with experience.

Zwelling Law, PLLC, is a firm representing nursing homes in the areas of defense litigation, tax appeals and real estate. The advertised position is for a paralegal in the litigation department. Paralegal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare initial drafts of pleadings, discovery documents and simple motions
• File documents and serve on all counsel Assist trial attorneys with trial preparation and during trial
• Keep attorneys’ calendar

Paralegal Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• National certification, such as those offered by NALA or AACP, is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook
• Proficient in Adobe
• Excellent communication and organization skills
