Job Summary

Join our team in Naples, FL, a city known for its beautiful beaches, vibrant arts scene, and warm climate. We are seeking a skilled individual to operate both manually operated hand painting equipment and automatic paint lines, applying final finishes to precision aerospace components.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate automatic paint lines and hand-painting booths.
  • Prepare sprayers for use and operate all equipment.
  • Select and mix coating liquids to achieve desired properties and color.
  • Clean and maintain all spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
  • Heat and spray wax onto products after testing.
  • Inspect work in process, including paint thickness and documentation.
  • Perform minor paint and preparation duties, ensuring surfaces are free of dirt, oil, and media.
  • Strip and clean improperly finished parts for repainting.
  • Remove rust or old paint from metal using acid, wire brush, or steel wool.
  • Mask devices and prepare them for painting.
  • Monitor chemical concentration in cleaning baths as needed.
  • Apply filler paint and/or paste to engraved areas.
  • Maintain control of on-hand consumable paint supplies.
  • Handle all equipment and waste, including hazardous waste, properly.
  • Observe all safety rules and maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of directly related manufacturing process experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
  • Proficient in reading, understanding, and following blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Effectively apply lean initiatives and contribute improvement suggestions.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Capable of working in a team environment and providing input to engineering or other leaders on operational status or performance.
  • Interpret reports and use job-specific software applications (e.g., production control/tracking systems).
  • Use employee self-service systems to access online information and specialized automated systems (e.g., PA, TORS, email).
  • Participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.

Shift Details

  • 1st Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Mental and Physical Demands

  • Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
  • Demonstrate manual dexterity and use hands to operate machinery.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
  • Regular attendance and the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others are expected.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
