Pain Management Physician

• Permanent position

• Part-time

• Outpatient clinic

• Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00p

• No formal call schedule

  • After-hours handled via answering service with physician-to-physician consults

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible - Required

• Fellowship Trained in Interventional Pain Medicine

  • ACGME-accredited fellowship required

• Acceptable Primary Training:

  • Anesthesiology

  • PM&R

• May work alongside:

  • Other physicians and/or APPs

  • RNs, LPNs, and MAs (varies by site)

• All patients are chronic pain referrals

  • Not solely personal injury cases

• Bread-and-butter interventional pain procedures

• Common procedures include:

  • Medial Branch Blocks (MBB)

  • Radiofrequency Ablations (RFA)

  • Spinal cord stimulator trials

• Open to discussing:

  • Procedures the physician does and does not perform to assess fit

• While primarily interventional:

  • Medication management expected when clinically appropriate

• 1099 position

• Competitive compensation (discussed directly with client)

• Two-year guarantee

• After Year 2:

  • Transition to collections-based model

  • Collect 100% of professional fees minus direct expenses

• Medical malpractice insurance provided

• Stipend toward health insurance expenses

• Stipend toward CME and licensing expenses

• COVID-19 exemptions available, if desired

• Nationwide pain management group

• Partners with rural community hospitals

• Locations are typically within one hour of a metropolitan area
