My client is seeking an experienced Packaging Manager to lead packaging design, development, and project execution across a diverse portfolio of customer applications. This role oversees the full lifecycle of packaging initiatives (from concept and design through installation, start‑up, and ongoing performance) while ensuring quality, budget alignment, and timely delivery.

Description
The Packaging Manager will report directly to the Vice President and be responsible for:
- Partner with customers to understand application requirements and develop innovative packaging concepts and system designs.
- Identify and engage appropriate equipment suppliers to meet technical and application needs.
- Build comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate execution across procurement, installation teams, and automation resources to ensure smooth delivery and successful start‑up.
- Develop and manage project budgets, track spending, and balance quality with cost‑effectiveness.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Communicate department updates and project progress to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Hire, train, coach, and evaluate team members; implement best‑practice methods, guidelines, and processes to improve performance and maintain high standards of service.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of packaging management experience, ideally within liquid processing or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of packaging equipment, materials, and system design.
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FDA, GMP, and ISO.
Job Offer
