Outpatient Clinical Counselor-Coordinator for Community House Mental Health Agency to work at our Seattle, WA loc. May telecommute 1 day/week.
Provide immediate crisis intervention and resolution. New client intake assessments. Crisis intervention assessment, counseling, and planning. Ancillary Counseling services to clients w/ therapy needs. Monitor members' medication intake ensuring dosage and timing. Liaison w/ public benefit systems, social and health services provider networks to advance client needs. Ensure incoming agency phone calls answered. Provide guidance for delivery of community support services provided by Community House Mental Health and per contracts. Provide input on screening and training of new outpatient case management staff. Monitor outpatient case management staff and volunteers, including performance evals, updating files, and tracking work schedule. Evaluate outpatient case management staff. Facilitate weekly clinical staff meetings and required trainings. ID individual staff training needs and ensure training needs met. Coordinate planning, implementation, eval of clinical services through Utilization/ QA Review  Committee. Confirm w/ accounting/payroll info per agency schedule. Review for  completeness and sign all clinical records, e.g. intakes, treatment plans, reviews, etc. Attend and coordinate staff presentations for weekly psychiatric consultation meeting. Case management/counseling for clients during staff absences. 24-hour supervisor on-call coverage for 2 weeks/quarter (total of 8 weeks/yr). Will undergo 1st-aid and CPR and food handlers permit training within 2 months of employment. TB testing required. May undergo background checks incl WA State Patrol + MV check. Salary range: $61,000-85,000. Minimal local travel limited to King County, WA for community outreach events and client sites required up to 60 non-consecutive days/yr but no overnight stays involved. Must have Master’s in Counseling, Social Work, or rel field and 2 yrs rel experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
