Outpatient Addictions Counselor - Grace Medical Center - New Hope ~GRACE MEDICAL CENTER ~Full-time w/Weekend Commitment - Day shift - Hours Vary ~ALLIED HEALTH ~ONE SATURDAY PER MONTH REQUIRED FROM 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM *** Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Programs Grace Medical Center's outpatient substance use disorder treatment program offers many types of treatment and services to patients who struggle with the disease of addiction. Our care team also helps to manage acute and chronic illnesses. Under general clinical supervision, is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of client treatment plans utilizing knowledge of chemical dependency and age appropriate holistic growth and development issues to ensure that care provided meets the unique physical and psychosocial needs of the patient. Bachelor’s Degree preferred with four years of general counselor experience. Four (4) years’ experience as a Chemical Dependency Counselor may substitute for educational requirements. Addiction Counselor Trainee (ADT) status or higher level of certification/licensure (CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGADC, LCADC, LCSW-C or LCPC or higher) Trainee status must take required exam for certification within 2 years of being hired and the organization will pay for first exam Trainee status must obtain certification within timeframe allotted by the Board of Professional Counselor and Therapists familiarity with chemical dependency techniques and therapies; Basic computer operation literacy.
