Role Overview
The Outbound Appointment Setter / Telemarketing Specialist at Custom Installation's main role is to support our sales organization by converting outbound and nurtured leads into scheduled roof inspection appointments.
This role is call-intensive and results-driven. Success is measured by appointments booked, not calls placed. The ideal candidate is comfortable working a list persistently, handling objections, and staying on the phone until an appointment is secured.
This is not a passive customer service role.
What You Will Own
Outbound Calling with Intent
You will make outbound calls to targeted homeowner lists, including:
· Homeowners with cedar, slate, or specialty roofing systems
· Leads already included in email and text drip campaigns
· Aggregator and partner leads that require follow-up and nurturing
· Storm-related or time-sensitive opportunities
While some outreach may be colder in nature, these are intent-driven lists, not random dialing. Your job is to work each list thoughtfully and persistently.
High-Quality Appointment Setting
This role is not about jamming calendars.
You will:
· Ask smart discovery questions
· Handle common objections professionally
· Clearly explain the value of a roof inspection or consultation
· Know when to move forward-and when to disqualify
The expectation is solid, qualified appointments that sales reps want to run and that homeowners are prepared for.
Clean Execution & Follow-Through
· Document all call activity and outcomes accurately in the CRM
· Follow call flows and scripts while keeping conversations natural
· Maintain follow-up discipline until appointments are booked or leads are fully worked
· Stay aligned with leadership on campaign focus and priorities
Team-Level Impact
You will work closely with sales leadership to:
· Improve conversion rates from outbound and nurtured leads
· Tighten qualification criteria
· Raise the overall quality of appointments being handed to the field
This role directly impacts sales performance and pipeline health.

Qualifications
· 1-3 years of experience in sales, telemarketing, or customer-facing roles
· Comfort using CRM systems and dialing tools
· Strong communication skills and professional phone presence
· Ability to stay organized and consistent in a goal-driven environment
· High school diploma or GED
Schedule
· Business-hour calling windows preferred (9:00am-5:00pm)
· Flexibility based on campaign needs and lead volume
Compensation
· Hourly base pay - $20
· Per-appointment Commission
· Performance-based bonuses tied to booked and/or completed appointments
