Immediate locum opportunity for an experienced Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon , a Level II Trauma Center in Tacoma, Washington. This assignment offers excellent compensation , strong APP support, and ongoing monthly coverage for physicians seeking high-acuity trauma work with flexibility.

Assignment Highlights

Level II Trauma Center
Coverage: Up to 2 weeks per month
Duration: 6 9 months (ongoing need)
ER coverage 24/7 with dedicated PA support
Mix of Hospital + Outpatient Clinic
️ 3 outpatient clinic mornings per week (Mon Fri, days TBD)
Patient volume varies: 0 7 cases per day
EMR: EPIC

Clinical Scope

Full spectrum of orthopedic trauma cases
Excludes complex pelvic cases
ER trauma coverage
Inpatient orthopedic consults
Outpatient follow-up and clinic care

Candidate Requirements

Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon
Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship preferred
Minimum 5 years Level II trauma experience (required)
Washington license preferred or IMLC with LOQ in hand
BLS & DEA required (can be obtained after offer)
Clean malpractice history strongly preferred
Immediate availability at name clear

Note: Surgeons with strong trauma experience but without fellowship training may be considered if credentialing criteria are met.
