Position Summary
The Orthopedic Technician is responsible for providing care to patients within the scope of a Medical Assistant-Certified/Medical Assistant - Registered to include cast, splint, or DME Application to the limb and/or other parts of the patient's body following an accident, orthopedic condition, or post-surgery. You will be an integral part of the team working under the direction of a licensed healthcare practitioner and utilize your knowledge towards the integration of available standards, resources and data.
Responsibilities
You will perform safe clinical skills with the scope of practice of the CMA, including clinical duties in the management of ambulatory patients to include documentation in patient EMR
You will apply casts, splints, and Durable Medical Equipment per Physician or APP orders
You will advise the patient on proper care for their casts/splints
You will participate in inventory management of clinical/cast supplies and DME
Requirements
Washington State Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) or Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
Registered/Certified Orthopedic Tech credentialing from ASOP /NAOT obtained within in one year of being in role
One (1) year of Orthopedic and casting experience preferred
Consideration will be given to internal candidates not meeting minimum requirements

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $26.30 - $37.84 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
