Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant for temporary / per-diem coverage in a fast-paced, patient-focused orthodontic practice. This role is ideal for an assistant with hands-on orthodontic experience who can step in confidently and support the clinical team with minimal training.
Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments
- Perform orthodontic procedures including:
- Wire changes and removals
- Bracket placement assistance
- Elastic instructions and patient education
- Taking orthodontic records (photos, scans, X-rays if applicable)
- Prepare and break down operatories between patients
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
- Ensure a positive, calm, and professional patient experience
- Support efficient patient flow during a busy schedule
Compensation:
- $32-$40/hour
