Job Description
:GlobalTech Solutions is looking for a skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our IT team. As an Oracle DBA, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Oracle database environments to ensure high availability, security, and performance. You will collaborate with development teams to implement new database solutions and handle all aspects of database administration, including backup, recovery, security, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities
:Database Management: Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring their availability, performance, and security.
Backup & Recovery: Implement and manage backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime in case of database failure.
Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and database structures to ensure optimal system performance.
Security Management: Implement and enforce database security policies, including user access control, auditing, and encryption.
Database Upgrades & Patching: Manage Oracle database upgrades, patches, and migrations to ensure the latest versions and security patches are applied.
Disaster Recovery: Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of system failures or disasters.
Collaboration: Work with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet application and business needs.
Database Monitoring: Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager or other monitoring tools to monitor database health, performance, and capacity.
Troubleshooting & Support: Provide support and troubleshooting for production database environments, resolving issues quickly and effectively.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA, working with Oracle 11g, 12c, or newer versions.
Strong experience in database performance tuning, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Skills:
Strong proficiency in Oracle database administration, including architecture, optimization, and security.
Experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, and ASM.
Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming and scripting.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or similar database management tools.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Certifications:
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or other Oracle-related certifications are preferred.
