Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our Oracle database environments. The Oracle DBA will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of mission-critical Oracle databases, as well as performing routine maintenance and backups.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases and related tools.

  • Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve efficiency.

  • Perform backup and recovery using RMAN or other tools.

  • Plan and execute database patches and upgrades with minimal downtime.

  • Implement and enforce database security policies and access controls.

  • Manage data replication, clustering, and high availability configurations.

  • Create and maintain database documentation, scripts, and procedures.

  • Provide database support for development, QA, and production environments.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks.

  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 3–7 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in production environments.

  • Strong understanding of Oracle versions 12c, 19c, or later.

  • Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN.

  • Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning.

  • Knowledge of database security, high availability, and backup/recovery best practices.

  • Familiarity with tools such as OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager), AWR, and Statspack.

  • Ability to manage databases in Unix/Linux and Windows environments.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Associate (OCA).

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

  • Knowledge of other RDBMS (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server) is a plus.

  • Experience with automation and scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible).
