Optometrist or Ophthalmologist – Veteran Disability Assessments We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist or Ophthalmologist to join our team in performing medical assessments for U.Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. S. Veterans. Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans. · Review and analyze electronic medical records via a secure web portal. · Perform thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT) . · Accurately document exam findings and complete the required VA forms. Disability determinations are made by the U.Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), not by the provider. Schedule: Part-Time, 3-4 days/week · Caseload: 4-6 Veterans per day on average. · Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary tools for documentation. A compassionate Optometrist or Ophthalmologist dedicated to supporting the Veteran community. · Strong analytical skills to review medical records and assessment data. · Proficient in electronic documentation and web-based portals. · A professional and empathetic demeanor when interacting with Veterans.
