The largest commodity brokerage firm is seeking an Operations Support Analyst to support internal trading systems and operational workflows. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented analyst with strong technical and analytical skills. Working collaboratively, the new hire will maintain efficient trading operations by resolving system issues while working with development teams to improve platform performance.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position:Direct Hire

Responsibilities:
  • Understand the trading software that is used internally for booking trades and orders executed in the commodities exchange.
  • Resolve any operational issue related to trade/order entry which also can involve working with commodities exchange support team.
  • Work in collaboration with Software Developers and provide user feedback plus communicate any enhancements requests.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for ad-hoc reporting
  • Knowledge of Commodities Derivatives Financial Instruments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effectively interface with both internal and external customers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of SQL and BI Reporting Tool will be a plus
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tool and issue tracking software will be a plus
