The Role

The Operations Manager will play a critical role in building and leading the company's Production Division.

This role is responsible for ensuring projects run efficiently, teams perform at a high level, and operational systems support the rapid scaling of the division.

The right candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment, enjoys solving complex operational challenges, and takes pride in building strong teams and systems.

Over time, the successful candidate will assume increasing responsibility for the overall leadership and performance of the Production Division.

Core Responsibilities

Production Leadership

  • Lead and support the day-to-day operations of the company's Production Division.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to ensure projects maintain strong momentum and execution.
  • Ensure projects stay aligned with schedule, quality standards, and operational expectations.

Operational Coordination

  • Ensure project teams have the information, schedules, and resources needed to perform effectively.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks early and implement solutions before they impact project performance.
  • Maintain clear communication across field teams, project management, and company leadership.

Systems & Process Development

  • Help build and refine operational systems that allow the Production Division to scale effectively.
  • Improve scheduling practices, documentation standards, and project tracking processes.
  • Support the implementation of consistent operational standards across all projects.

Division Growth & Leadership

  • Work directly with ownership to grow the Production Division and increase production capacity.
  • Help develop the people, processes, and structure required to support a division that will grow significantly over the next several years.
  • Demonstrate increasing leadership responsibility with the long-term goal of becoming General Manager of the Production Division.

Ideal Candidate

This role requires someone with direct field leadership experience in residential construction.

The ideal candidate must be or have been a Residential Construction Superintendent and understand how projects run from the ground up.

You likely bring:

  • Previous experience as a Residential Construction Superintendent
  • 5 years of construction management experience
  • Strong understanding of residential project execution and field operations
  • Experience coordinating trades, schedules, and site activities
  • A natural ability to lead people and keep projects moving forward
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
