Operations Manager – Construction / Site Prep

Location: Asheville, NC

We are hiring a Site Operations Manager for a growing company in the manufactured home transport and installation space. This is a hands-on, field-based role responsible for site evaluations, site preparation, and coordinating construction activities from assessment through installation readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed site evaluations, including route planning, feasibility, utilities identification, and grading requirements
  • Assess soil conditions and document site details accurately in Salesforce
  • Manage and own the full site preparation phase from start to finish
  • Coordinate subcontractors for grading, foundation work, septic/well installation, and land clearing
  • Ensure projects move efficiently and are completed on schedule
  • Operate skid steer equipment as needed for grading and site work
  • Manage DOT permits and ensure compliance for transport and routing
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs for trucks, equipment, and machinery
  • Support project teams and act as a field problem solver during site prep and early installation phases

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in site prep, grading, construction, or manufactured home installation
  • Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment (skid steer preferred)
  • Strong understanding of site conditions, grading, and utility coordination
  • Experience documenting work in systems like Salesforce or similar
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
