Position Overview
The Operations Manager, Co-Manufacturing & Quality serves as the primary liaison between internal teams and external manufacturing partners. This individual will regularly visit production plants to manage performance, enforce quality standards, support audits, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. In addition, this role will identify and establish new warehouse, co-packing, and distribution relationships that improve efficiency and reduce overall costs.

Key Responsibilities

Co-Manufacturing Oversight
  • Travel to partner manufacturing plants to manage production performance, process consistency, and operational standards
  • Serve as the main point of contact for co-manufacturing relationships
  • Monitor KPIs including quality, throughput, waste reduction, and service levels
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives when performance gaps occur

Quality Assurance / Quality Control
  • Oversee QA/QC programs across external manufacturing partners
  • Lead and support external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer standards
  • Maintain documentation, quality metrics, and continuous improvement processes
  • Collaborate with plant teams to strengthen product integrity and process controls

Supply Chain & Cost Savings Initiatives
  • Identify and onboard new warehouse, co-packing, and distribution partners
  • Evaluate logistics networks to drive cost reduction and service improvements
  • Negotiate and manage third-party relationships to optimize operational efficiency
  • Support strategic sourcing and network optimization initiatives

Qualifications
  • Strong experience managing co-manufacturing or contract manufacturing environments
  • Background in QA/QC leadership within manufacturing or food production
  • Experience leading or participating in external audits
  • Proven ability to build and manage third-party operational partnerships
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on cost savings
  • Comfortable traveling to production facilities as needed
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
