Company DescriptionThe Operations Assistant assists the Director of Manufacturing in preparation of the production schedule and recording of daily production output data. The position is also responsible for generating all paperwork related to next day’s production and reviewing lot files submitted by production staff for previous day’s production.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Constructs the preliminary production schedule with input from sales and the Director of Manufacturing.
- Refines the Production Plan, as directed by the Director of Manufacturing or the Production Manager.
- Provides back-up support for Accounting Production and Inventory Team Lead, Production Manager/Supervisor and Materials Manager during colleague absences.
- Produces the paperwork necessary for next day’s production.
- Creates, prints, and checks labels for next day’s production for accuracy.
- Assembles lot files for the previous day’s production, reviews for completeness, and scans for document preservation.
- Assists with line checks and/or production quality (auditing functions).
- Maintains recordings of daily production output data and keeps file up to date with personnel changes.
- Completes monthly production employee report and employee summaries for performance reviews.
- Works with Director of Manufacturing, Plant Manager, or HR to develop employee activities, including recognition celebrations for outstanding performance.
- Performs other tasks as directed by Director of Manufacturing, Plant Manager, or HR.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Required: 2- or 4-year degree at an accredited college or university
- Required: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including typing
- Required: Computer skills sufficient to perform various data entries and other communicative and analytical tasks.
- Required: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Required: Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Required: Strong quantitative skills with a minimum of a 12th grade education in mathematics
