WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN OPERATING ENGINEER
- High school diploma or equivalency
- 3+ years of building engineer experience and experience with all facets of HVAC
- Third-grade engineer license
- EPA CFC License
- OSHA 10 certification is desired
- Available for after-hour and weekend repairs
- Skilled in HVAC installs, services, and repairs
- Familiarity with air handlers with pneumatic and digital controls
- Understanding of AHU preheating and reheating of coils
- Knowledge of centralized chilled water systems and related equipment
- Knowledge of high-pressure steam plant operations, including water treatment
- Competency in using power and hand tools
- Ability to troubleshoot and respond/complete service work orders
- Ability to understand written and oral instructions
- Ability to read Architectural and Manufacturing blueprints
- Ability to perform essential building maintenance and emergency repairs
- Ability to work effectively with customers, building tenants, and team members
- Chill Bean system knowledge is a plus
- Must be able to pass a background check
