Omakase Server (Part-Time / Full-Time)

Ryokou is seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven Omakase Server to guide guests through our chef s 8-course tasting menu and curate the full Ryokou experience.

This role is more than traditional table service. You are the primary storyteller for the evening presenting each course with clarity and confidence, anticipating guest needs, and creating a seamless progression from the first greeting to the final bite.

We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for food and beverage, a calm and professional presence, and the ability to translate the intention of the kitchen into an engaging and memorable guest experience.

Responsibilities:

Guide guests through our 8-course omakase tasting menu

Clearly and confidently describe dishes, ingredients, and preparation

Maintain awareness of pacing and guest experience throughout service

Collaborate closely with the chef and kitchen team to ensure timing and flow

Provide thoughtful beverage recommendations and pairings when appropriate

Maintain polished, attentive, and professional table presence

Uphold the standards of hospitality and detail that define Ryokou

Qualifications:

Prior serving experience in an upscale or tasting menu environment preferred

Strong knowledge of food and beverage with a desire to continue learning

Excellent communication skills and natural guest rapport

Ability to remain composed and attentive in an intimate service setting

Detail-oriented, punctual, and team-focused

Professional appearance and demeanor
