Offload Assistant Manager
Salary: $70,000–$90,000 + Year-End Bonus
Travel: Approximately 50% (Nationwide)
Position Summary
The Offload Assistant Manager supports the Offload Manager in coordinating the transportation, delivery, offload, and final assembly of MFG buildings at customer sites across the United States. This role requires extensive travel and hands-on, on-site work in construction and manufacturing environments.
The company provides a company truck for travel, and all job-related travel expenses are covered. Candidates must be comfortable working in physically demanding conditions, lifting up to 60 pounds, and maneuvering in confined spaces.
Key Responsibilities
Offload & Site Operations
Assist with the on-site setting and final assembly of MFG buildings
Perform on-site tasks including hammer drilling foundation anchors, mounting hoods, reconnecting electrical components per drawings, and cleaning or painting structures
Operate required equipment on site (training and certifications provided as needed)
Logistics & Scheduling
Coordinate freight scheduling with project managers, production managers, and MFG trucking partners
Work directly with truck drivers to ensure safe, timely delivery
Source, schedule, and coordinate cranes and other required offload equipment
Assist with preparing buildings for shipment, including verifying ship-loose items and ensuring required tools and equipment are loaded
Customer & Team Coordination
Work directly with customers to schedule offloads, manage paperwork, and complete site-specific training requirements
Manage and support the offload team on site
Coordinate travel logistics with office staff, including flights, hotels, and equipment rentals
Ensure all team members have proper tools, PPE, documentation, and travel details
Travel & Support
Travel by truck and plane with adequate notice, including multi-day assignments across all 50 states
Support manufacturing teams in final building preparation prior to shipment
Minimum Qualifications
1–4 years of experience in construction, manufacturing, or a related field
Ability to lift at least 60 pounds and perform physical work in tight or confined spaces
Ability to travel extensively for extended periods
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive and back up trailers of various sizes
Ability to pass a background check
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA training certification
Welding certification
Forklift certification
Manlift or scissor lift certification
(Certifications are preferred but not required; training may be provided.)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
Comfortable working independently while knowing when to seek guidance
Strong organizational, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
