Do you love bread and people? Acme Bread's Ferry Building location has an open position of Office Manager, in our administrative office. This is an opportunity to work in a lively setting with kind-hearted coworkers and literal tons of delicious food.


The Acme Bread Ferry Building Office Manager role is a deadline-driven and fast-paced position that requires a lot of attention to detail. It involves constant communication with crew leads and/or managers within our Ferry Building bakery as well as other Acme divisions and departments like production, distribution, food safety, HR, Payroll and AR teams, as well as providing excellent customer service to both retail and wholesale customers, and assisting managers with reports and special projects, among other responsibilities.


Duties include:

  • Maintaining and updating daily/weekly/monthly/annual office task checklists.

  • Monitoring staffing needs, personnel schedule, and generating break schedules.

  • Maintaining awareness of the shop area and providing assistance to the shop team when needed.

  • Daily cash-handling tasks.

  • Using software and following procedures pertaining to customer orders, invoicing, sales data tracking, generating production sheets, and personnel management.

  • Entering and evaluating shop sales data; making changes to production as needed.

  • Referring prospective new wholesale clients to appropriate channels.

  • Responding to retail and wholesale customer concerns and complaints.

  • Assisting the HR and Payroll Office with employee records

  • Assisting Bakery Manager with maintenance of Production workbook, adding new products, linking ingredient usage to vendor ordering sheets, troubleshooting problems that arise in the Production workbook.

  • Overseeing the completion of once-per-month cleaning and administrative tasks.

  • Is involved in various cleaning and organizing tasks on a daily basis.

  • Responding to office-related phone calls that arise outside of regular business hours, as needed to support ongoing operations.

  • Directing inter-department transfer of ingredients and supplies.

The ideal candidate is dependable, energetic, detail-oriented and friendly. The retail sales component of the job is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift items up to 30 lbs. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Wages and Benefits:

- Pay range: $29.10 to $31.60 per hour, depending on experience

- Vacation time accrual if the position becomes regular (non-temporary)
