Description: A locally owned and established tool and equipment supply company in Austin is seeking a dependable and motivated Administrative & Accounting Support Professional to join their team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day, takes pride in being a key support to leadership, and is looking to build a long-term career within a stable, growing organization.

Position Overview
The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, enforcing accountability, managing staff performance, and ensuring efficient workflow. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, male-dominated environment.

Hours: Monday Friday, 8: 00 AM 5: 00 PM (in-office)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Status: Temp-to-Hire

Key Responsibilities:
-Manage daily office operations and workflow
-Enforce employee schedules, attendance, and accountability
-Oversee counter operations and staffing coverage
-Support customer service standards and issue resolution
-Coordinate communication between team members and leadership
-Monitor productivity and address performance issues
-Implement and maintain operational systems and processes

Decision-Making & Authority:
-This role operates with a high level of independence and is expected to make day-to-day decisions without constant oversight
-Responsible for handling employee issues, scheduling, workflow, and routine operational decisions on the spot
-Acts as the primary point of resolution for daily challenges within the office
-Escalates only larger or high-impact issues to ownership with clear information and recommended solutions
-Goal is to reduce day-to-day involvement from ownership while maintaining communication on important matters

-Confident and professional approach when handling customer accounts, invoicing, and collections
-Comfortable having direct conversations regarding money, timelines, and accountability
-Strong sense of urgency does not delay, avoid, or overlook issues
-Takes ownership of responsibilities and follows through without supervision
-Willing to hold team members accountable and enforce standards consistently
-Operates with a no-nonsense, solutions-focused mindset
-Maintains professionalism while being firm, direct, and results-driven
-This role is not limited to a fixed list of tasks and will evolve based on business needs
-Expected to take initiative in identifying gaps, solving problems, and improving processes
