Position summary
We are seeking an experienced Office Administrator to lead and proactively manage daily operations of the Atlanta office. This position plays a critical role in supporting an environment where professional staff and lawyers can thrive.
This role blends leadership, change management, personnel supervision, operations, facilities, events, and office administration. It requires adaptability, strong service orientation, and the ability to manage shifting priorities with urgency and professionalism.
Job duties and responsibilities
- Provide guidance to lawyers and professional staff while fostering a culture of service excellence
- Identify and implement solutions to improve productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness
- Partner with lawyers and staff to anticipate needs and exceed expectations
- Manage support assignments and analyze workload distribution
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and overall office organization
- Partner with Global Security to implement local safety protocols
- Lead emergency response and business continuity efforts
- Manage office budget and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Evaluate operations and implement process improvements
- Resolve day-to-day operational issues independently and collaboratively
- Oversee HR functions including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and compensation recommendations
- Liaise with HR Business Partners on employee matters
- Plan and oversee office events and community initiatives
- Support real estate projects including leases, space planning, and office moves
- Manage delivery of administrative, office services, and hospitality support
- Assist departments with workflow and operational challenges
- Oversee facilities management and landlord/vendor relationships
- Approve expenses and manage local vendor relationships
- Serve as office point of contact for search consultants and professional organizations
- Participate in professional organizations (e.g., ALA, SHRM)
- Lead or support firmwide initiatives and projects
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned

Required skills and experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline preferred
- Advanced degree or additional training a plus
- Equivalent experience may be considered
Experience
- 3+ years of supervisory or managerial experience required
- Law firm or professional services experience preferred
- Understanding of state and local HR laws and regulations

Supervisory responsibilities
Responsible for supervising Executive Assistants, Facilities/Office Services staff, and/or vendors

Working conditions
Requires in-office presence at least four days per week. May require work beyond standard hours. Schedule details will be discussed with the supervisor.
Pay ranges
This represents the presently anticipated pay range for this position. Actual pay may vary based on factors including location and experience.
Atlanta: $110,000 – $130,000
