Location Highlights

Chico offers a blend of outdoor recreation and small-city amenities within easy reach of major Northern California attractions. Bidwell Park is a 3,670-acre municipal park with miles of hiking and mountain biking trails and the Sacramento River runs through the park, within 10 minutes of downtown Chico. The Sierra Nevada Foothills and Lake Oroville are about a 35–45 minute drive, offering boating, fishing, and hiking opportunities. Downtown Chico features the Chico State University campus, dining and craft breweries along Main Street, and a short commute to the Bidwell farmers markets and seasonal events. The area suits an active, outdoors-oriented lifestyle with easy access to regional transit routes and a quieter, suburban pace compared to larger Northern California cities.
