Occupational Therapist (Contract) – Pediatric Outpatient
Location: The Woodlands, TX
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (FMLA/LOA Coverage)
Schedule: 10–12 Hour Shifts, Monday–Friday (Flexible Days/Hours)

TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a 13-week contract opportunity in a pediatric outpatient setting at a children’s hospital in The Woodlands area. This role focuses on providing developmentally appropriate therapy services for patients from infancy through adulthood while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary care team.
Position Responsibilities
- Perform patient evaluations and reassessments in accordance with departmental and hospital guidelines
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings
- Establish measurable short-term and long-term therapy goals in collaboration with patients and families
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions and monitor patient response to treatment
- Recommend adaptive equipment and determine appropriate discharge or termination of therapy
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain productivity standards and effectively manage daily patient schedules
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to support quality patient care
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
- Two or more years of pediatric, women’s health, orthopedics, or sports medicine clinical experience
or one year residency in pediatric, women’s health, orthopedics, or sports medicine - Strong knowledge of rehabilitative care for acute and chronic conditions from neonate through adulthood
- Excellent communication, organization, and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team
