Occupational Health Nurse
Lafayette, IN (On?Site)
Weekend Day Shift: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM (Sat & Sun)
$60/hour
12?month contract-option to go internal
Caterpillar is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to serve as the lead nurse for a large, stand?alone manufacturing facility medical clinic now operating 7 days/week. This is a highly autonomous weekend role.
What You’ll Do
- Triage and treat work?related injuries and illnesses
- Conduct fitness?for?duty, return?to?work, DOT drug testing, and OSHA surveillance exams
- Respond to and lead on?site medical emergencies (ERT involvement)
- Manage clinic operations, documentation, and compliance metrics
- Support disability case management, injury investigations, and safety initiatives
- Act as liaison with Corporate Medical and contracted providers
What We’re Looking For
- Active RN license (Indiana)
- 5+ years experience in occupational health or acute care preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
- High computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Cority a plus)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
