How you'll contribute

A Behavioral Health Nurse Manager RN who excels in this role:

  • Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.

  • Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.

  • Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.

  • Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary.

  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.

  • Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school or an associate's degree with current enrollment in a bachelor's program for nursing. Additional requirements include:

  • Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required. 

  • Experience: Three years of experience in all aspects of medical surgical nursing and Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred with aa minimum of two years supervisory experience.
  • Licenses: Must have a current Arizona or compact multi-state RN license. 

  • Education: BSN or ADN with current enrollment in a BSN program required.
