• This role requires a dedicated nursing professional to lead the Surgical Services department in Yonkers, NY.
• The position involves full-time onsite work with 24-hour accountability for specified Operating Rooms.
• Key responsibilities include overseeing nursing practices, ensuring quality patient care, and managing staff operations.
Requirements:
• 24-hour responsibility for Operating Rooms in Dobbs Ferry & Andrus.
• Develop and implement nursing department philosophy and objectives.
• Provide clinical direction and evaluate nursing staff care levels.
• Hire, discipline, and appraise performance of direct reports.
• Plan and participate in staff clinical and leadership development.
• Plan and implement unit-based quality improvement activities.
• Develop effective communication with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
Qualifications:
• Registered Professional Nurse licensed in New York State.
• Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience as a nursing practitioner.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience in the Operating Room.
• Baccalaureate degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
