MultiCare Yakima is actively seeking a dedicated Nurse Anesthetist to join our integrated care team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures across multiple specialties including ENT, general surgery, GI endoscopy, GYN, podiatry, OB, orthopedics, pediatric cases, robotic procedures, urology, and vascular surgeries.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and care team members to develop and implement anesthesia plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Support a busy operative schedule, overseeing anesthesia services in 7 ORs at the main Surgery Department, 4 ORs at the Surgi-Center, 2 GI treatment rooms, Bronchoscopy, and Cath Lab.
  • Maintain comprehensive patient safety, monitoring vital signs and adjusting anesthesia as necessary.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, documentation requirements, and best practices within a medically supervised, team-based model.

Required Skills:
  • Valid state licensure and certification as a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
  • Proven experience in anesthesia administration within a hospital or surgical center setting
  • Excellent clinical judgment and patient assessment skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Strong communication and teamwork capabilities
  • Knowledge of current anesthesia standards and safety regulations

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with robotic anesthesia procedures
  • Familiarity with pediatric anesthesia
  • Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS)
  • Bilingual abilities or diverse language skills

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree or higher in Nurse Anesthesia or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of anesthesia experience supporting a variety of surgical procedures
  • Prior experience working within a care team model in a hospital or medical center

Other Requirements:
  • Availability for a schedule consisting of 3 to 4, 12-hour shifts, including some night shifts (schedule may vary weekly)
  • All-inclusive CRNA rates preferred (including travel and lodging allowances)
  • Ability to support a varied case mix and adapt to changing clinical needs
  • Compliance with all licensure, certification, and hospital credentialing processes
