MultiCare Yakima is actively seeking a dedicated Nurse Anesthetist to join our integrated care team. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures across multiple specialties including ENT, general surgery, GI endoscopy, GYN, podiatry, OB, orthopedics, pediatric cases, robotic procedures, urology, and vascular surgeries.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and care team members to develop and implement anesthesia plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Support a busy operative schedule, overseeing anesthesia services in 7 ORs at the main Surgery Department, 4 ORs at the Surgi-Center, 2 GI treatment rooms, Bronchoscopy, and Cath Lab.
- Maintain comprehensive patient safety, monitoring vital signs and adjusting anesthesia as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, documentation requirements, and best practices within a medically supervised, team-based model.
Required Skills:
- Valid state licensure and certification as a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Proven experience in anesthesia administration within a hospital or surgical center setting
- Excellent clinical judgment and patient assessment skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong communication and teamwork capabilities
- Knowledge of current anesthesia standards and safety regulations
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with robotic anesthesia procedures
- Familiarity with pediatric anesthesia
- Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS)
- Bilingual abilities or diverse language skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Nurse Anesthesia or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of anesthesia experience supporting a variety of surgical procedures
- Prior experience working within a care team model in a hospital or medical center
Other Requirements:
- Availability for a schedule consisting of 3 to 4, 12-hour shifts, including some night shifts (schedule may vary weekly)
- All-inclusive CRNA rates preferred (including travel and lodging allowances)
- Ability to support a varied case mix and adapt to changing clinical needs
- Compliance with all licensure, certification, and hospital credentialing processes
