Job Summary

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Outpatient Cardiology team in Texarkana, TX. This role focuses on providing comprehensive cardiovascular care in a clinic-based setting, working collaboratively with cardiologists and the broader care team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiology or a related specialty and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient evaluation and management of patients with cardiovascular conditions

  • Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up visits

  • Manage chronic cardiac conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease

  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing including labs, EKGs, and cardiac imaging

  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications for heart health

  • Collaborate closely with cardiologists and clinic staff to ensure coordinated patient care

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR

Qualifications

  • Current Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

  • National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)

  • Previous cardiology, internal medicine, or acute care experience preferred

  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently in an outpatient clinic setting

Schedule & Compensation

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Outpatient only – no nights, weekends, or call

  • Competitive compensation based on experience
