Job Details
Responsibilities:
As our Non-Profit Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Managing all aspects of grant accounting, including tracking grant funds, preparing financial reports for grantors, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
2. Performing monthly reconciliations of bank and investment accounts.
3. Preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
4. Coordinating with external auditors and preparing necessary materials for annual audits.
5. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to non-profit financial management.
6. Assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
7. Collaborating with program and development staff to provide financial information and support as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for our Non-Profit Accountant position will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a non-profit organization, preferably in the healthcare industry.
2. Extensive knowledge of grant accounting and experience managing grant funds.
3. Strong skills in reconciliation and financial analysis.
4. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
6. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
8. Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to non-profit financial management.
