Summary You will serve as a Non-Nuclear Ship Systems Inspector Leader in Code 613 of the Quality Assurance Department of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR. Responsibilities You will read and interpret drawings, maintenance standards, complicated written technical material and various other logistical technical data and process instructions to determine adherence to quality standards. You will maintain files, charts, plans, and status reports of inspections, work documents, and deficiencies, and submit reports and provide recommendations for corrective action to discrepancies. You will perform opening, in-process, and final reviews of non-nuclear controlled work packages to ensure compliance to local, TYCOM, and NAVSEA directives. You will provide shipboard/shop inspections including in-process inspections during the course of overhaul/repair of non-nuclear mechanical, piping and structural systems. You will use a variety of precision measuring equipment including, but not limited to: micrometers, optical comparators, depth gauges, height gauges, thread gauges, pressure gauges, vernier measuring devices, and surface roughness gauges. You will operate computer based fixed and portable coordinate measurement machines with associated CAD/Dimensioning software for instruments and technical measurement and diagnostic equipment uses. You will determine the correct course of action when noncompliance to specifications occurs, for example stopping production work, rejecting items, or placing items in hold status.
