We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated AfterHours Chaplain to join our Spiritual Care team. This nonFTE position provides vital spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff of Swedish Health Services during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. As an essential resource outside of normal business hours, you will offer comfort during moments of crisis, serve as a calming presence, and help individuals navigate challenging experiences with dignity and care.

In this role, you will also act as a liaison between patients, families, and community clergy to ensure appropriate spiritual resources are available. Work is performed on an intermittent, asneeded basis, offering flexibility while providing meaningful, missiondriven service during critical times.

Key Responsibilities

The afterhours chaplain also acts as liaison between patients/families and community clergy.

Work performed is expected to be outside of normal business hours on an intermittent and sporadic basis to provide necessary afterhours services to patients, family members, and/or staff.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)

1 year in ministry

Experience in a medical setting

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree In Divinity

Previous experience using an electronic medical record

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
